Privacy Policy

VBM SHOPS LLCs knows that you care how information about you is used and shared, and we appreciate your trust that we will do so carefully and sensibly. This notice describes our privacy policy. By registering with VBM SHOPS LLC, you are accepting the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

This Privacy Policy is effective upon acceptance for new users and is otherwise effective on August 21, 2009. We may amend this Privacy Policy by posting amendments on this page. All amendments are effective thirty (30) days after posting.

You must register with us to buy or sell on our site. Once you give us your personal information, you are not anonymous to us. By registering with us, you consent to the transfer and storage of that information on our servers located in the United States.

  1. Collection of information
    1. Purpose. The information we learn from customers allows us to personalize and continually improve the total shopping experience at VBMShops.com. Here are the types of information we gather.
    2. Types
      1. User Supplied Information. We receive and store any information you enter on our Web site or give us in any other way. Information that we collect can be: items searched for, name and address, e-mail address, bidding patterns, comments, credit card information supplied, and financial information, including Social Security numbers and Driver's License numbers. This list is not exclusive, and may be altered without notice based on information that you supply voluntarily.
      2. Cookies. When you access our site, information is received and stored by us. The most significant information is stored in the form of cookies, or small storage files that transmit your electronic identity to the website that you visit. Like most Web sites, we use cookies to be able to identify you as a return visitor to the site and to maintain your signed-in status. We receive and store certain types of information whenever you interact with us.       3. E-mail Communications: We may communicate and make special offers available via email. To avoid sending duplicate emails to our customers, we compare our customer list to these lists received from other companies.     1. Our Servers.Your information is stored on our servers that are located in the United States.
    2. Software Used. To protect the security of your information during transmission, we use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software, which encrypts information you input.
    3. Signing off. To prevent unauthorized access to sensitive information, it is important for you to monitor those who have access to your password and to your computer. Be sure to sign off when finished using a shared computer.
    4. Security. We use many tools to protect your information. However, others may employ illegal means to access information or intercept communications.   4. USER ACCESS TO INFORMATION
    1. General. When you access your account, there is a variety of information that you will see. This is designed to allow you to update any changed information and view the information that you entered previously. This information is sensitive, and it is necessary to both protect this information and keep it current in order to have the best experience at our site.
    2. Prior Information. You can add or update certain information related to your account. When you update information, we usually keep a copy of the prior version for our records.
  5. CONDITIONS OF USE, NOTICES, AND REVISIONS
    1. Acceptance of Conditions of Use. By visiting VBMShops.com, you accept that your visit and any dispute over privacy is subject to this Notice and our Conditions of Use, including limitations on damages, arbitration of disputes, and application of the law of the state of South Carolina.     1. General. Information is collected from you when you do the following activities: register, search, list, bid, post a review or opinion, participate in a contest or questionnaire, or communicate with customer service.
    2. Examples. For example, information would be collected when a user came to the site, searched for a product, bid or purchased from an ongoing auction, updated information in the account settings, called or e-mailed customer service, reviewed a product, participated in a discussion or chat, completed a questionnaire or a contest entry form; provided employer information when registering a corporate account and employ other notification services.

    3. Software Used. During some visits we may use software tools such as JavaScript to measure and collect session information, including page response times, download errors, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information (such as scrolling, clicks, and mouse-overs), and methods used to browse away from the page.
